4 years & 1 week

Yesterday was a big day. It was my first day alone at home with my little girl as Mike returned to work, Dilyn turned 1 week old and it was our 4 year wedding anniversary. Typically, we use our anniversary as an excuse to go to some fancy restaurant and spend a lot of money on delicious food, drink and desert. The new Ocean's 13 movie comes out tonight. When planning what to do for our anniversary we expected for me to still be pregnant so we decided we'd go to the movie. Well, there was no movie and no fancy dinner, but we did decide to gamble and go to our favorite mexican restaurant for for a quick bite to eat. It's close, quick and yummy. It was the perfect anniversary. Who needs all that other stuff when you've got a great husband who is also a wonderful dad to your brand new daughter. Just in case you're wondering...she was a little fussy when we got there, but was perfect the rest of the meal. Here's a picture of us at the restaurant.
The day before yesterday we had our first trip to the mall. Well, we only went to Starbuck's and the Gap, but those are usually the highlights at the mall anyway. Mike got his beloved converse shoes that he's been wanting. For a simple man who likes simple things he sure does love shoes. I love that about him. Speaking of Mike, here's a picture I took of him and Dilyn trying to get a few moments of rest.
Here's a picture of Dilyn in her cute little dress she got from Grandma Karen. Most of her clothes are still so big on her. This one almost fits her. Maybe next week we can break out some more fun clothes.

The picture of Dilyn & Mike sleeping is too precious! Its so awesome to see a dad so immediately smitten with his daughter. Watch out - she is going to have him wrapped around his finger when she gets older!
