ludington, mi

Last weekend my oldest brother, Dustin (who was visiting my parents in Wisconsin), and my parents took the S.S. Badger across Lake Michigan. While they were on the ferry we went for a 5 hour drive to meet them in Ludington, MI. We spent 2 nights in there and other than the rain on Saturday morning it was beautiful.

After picking them up from the ferry and making a quick run by the hotel room we ate at Scotty's, a local steak and seafood restaurant. Dilyn was excited to see Dustin, Gramps and of course, Grammy.
Excited at Scotty's.
At Scotty's after the excitement wore off...
The next morning was a bit rainy, but since Dust has recently taken up running I couldn't pass up the chance to run with him. So, we got drenched, but it was a nice couple of miles and I really enjoyed catching up with him. He certainly has a lot going on and has recently made the decision to get his doctorate...Dr. Maas? Crazy. Cool, but crazy. We wasted some time swimming in the indoor pool, but lucky for us the afternoon brought clear and sunny skies...off to the beach. Dilyn was very nervous about the sand for about a half hour, but once she got use to it she had lots of fun.

Happy girl at the beach.

That night we went to a local Italian restaurant for pizza and pasta. The wait was long, but the food was good. To keep Dilyn content after a long time at the restaurant Mike got her her very first sucker. It worked!

Her very first sucker...rock candy.

The next morning I dropped Dust and my parents off at the ferry, went back to the hotel to pick up Mike and Dilyn and off we went for our car ride back home. We miss everyone already. Thanks for a great weekend! Love you!

OH MY GOSH! How much fun was that?!! Great pictures too !!

We had a super great time together with you guys and Uncle Dust. It was so nice to be together and goof around. The beach was perfect. I was a little nervous to see Mike so far out in the lake. What a fish.

It was really cool to see Dilyn walking. She's a very busy little girl. Think of all the new things she is learning.... By the way, Dilyn, that sucker looks pretty tasty.

I hope we can all do it again with Uncle Chad and Uncle Cory.

Can't wait to see you all again.

Love,

Mom/Grammy
