Apple Orchard & Lake House

Well, Friday night the weekend looked like it was going to be uneventful. Just a weekend at home to get caught up on things around the house, etc. Then, Saturday morning we decided last minute to go with Holly and Ashton to Holly's parent's lake house! Thanks for the invite guys. We had a blast! On the way down to the lake we stopped at an apple orchard called Apple Works for lunch and to pick up some desert for later. They had a little petting zoo and a homemade slide made of corrugated plastic pipe. I think it was a little too fast for Dilyn, but I would love to go back when she is a little older. After lunch we headed to the lake house located at Sweetwater Lake in Brown County, Indiana. The lake was beautiful and so was the house. Typically lakes in Indiana are pretty filthy, but this one was perfectly clear. Here is Mike and Dilyn ready for a boat ride. It was not quite 60 degrees, but the lake made it feel a little colder so we bundled Dilyn up. She really enjoyed the boat ride and slept for most of it. We enjoyed it too. We strolled around checking out all of the other neat lake houses. Thanks again Ashton and Holly (and the Helmling's) for letting us enjoy the lake with you!
